1997
Capitol

Anyone who hasn't given Radiohead a chance yet, you might want to take a gander at this album. I sure am glad I did. OK Computer is flat-out the best album I have ever heard. It's arrival in 1997 marked a monumental event in music. It became the new standard of how far we could go with the evolution of rock as we entered the 21st century. It's masterful mix of technology and rock made a statement about how technology is becoming more and more of a dominant force in our world. It mockingly shows how we haven fallen victim to technology's power, exhibited in the obediant album title OK Computer. Radiohead strips away much of the guitar rock that characterized their first two albums, and creates a textured soundscape of mesmerizing sound. OK Computer is an exploratory post-rock album of epic proportions.
