This groove-soaked album is considered by many to be the crowning achievement of the Talking Heads impressive career. The
hypnotic polyrhythms and beats that cruise through much of the album stand out immediately. With every listen, it seems almost
impossible not to get sucked in. David Byrne delivers rock solid vocals that perfectly compliment the constantly engaging
melodies. The album definitely takes an interesting shift after the first five tracks. It is evident that the Talking Heads
were really trying to get their message across by drastically slowing down the final three tracks. Some may be disappointed
that the album does not close with the catchy, upbeat song structures that it began with. However, I feel that it is this
shift that gives the album a unique diversity and depth.

Key Tracks:
Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)
Crosseyed and Painless
Once in a Lifetime
