Nonesuch

Wilco has always been a consistently great band. However, critics have continually struggled in trying to define what genre of music they can be classified as. The most common (however innacurate) genre labeling has been Alt-Country. However, when Wilco released Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, this confused critics even more. Wilco hit their peak of musicianship with this journey into more experimental ground. Singer/songwriter Jeff Tweedy reached unexpected heights with a thoroughly satisfying album. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot served in throwing Wilco into the mix of the most bold and daring bands of the 21st century. In many ways, this album is Wilco's OK Computer. Experimental, groundbreaking, and brilliant.
