Until the release of The Meadowlands, The Wrens hadn't released an album in 7 years. It took the indie rockers four years
to record this one, and it's safe to say that it definitely shows. The Meadowlands is an expansive album, with a range of
tracks that shows off all the colors of the band's songwriting palette. The album starts off with the welcoming vibes of a
cool summer night, with sounds of crickets and a cool breeze. The second track begins with a simple guitar melody that soon
grows and flourishes into a multi-layered emotive rock song. This is really where the album jumpstarts into a series of great
tracks. While the level of songwriting is well above average on all of the songs, there are about 4 or 5 that completely knocked
my socks off and immediately had me sold on the band. Songs like "Happy" and "She Sends Kisses" are just
phenomenal. Let's just hope it doesn't take The Wrens another 7 years to put out their next album.

Key Tracks:
Happy
She Sends Kisses
Boys, You Won't
Final Verdict: 9.4
