Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is definitely a mouthful of a band name. It's funny that, coincidentally, there is a mouthful of
adjectives that should be used to applaud this band's uniqueness and excellence. Coming out of the NYC scene, as many great
bands do, CYHSY remarkably produced their debut album on their own in their basement, and found a way to get it out to the
public without even being picked up by a record label. Pretty ambitious, I know. And we all ought to be very thankful for
this great effort. CYHSY is an indie rock band with a great sound and a strong personality. Its David Byrne-esque twisting
vocals are backed by meandering melodies filled with funky touches of keyboard, guitar, and percussion. The tunes are consistently
engaging, and should not be missed by anyone interested in hearing something a little different. So get enthusiastic, clap,
say yeah, whatever it takes...just give it a shot, you won't regret it.
