Expectations:
Supposedly Craig Finn, the lead vocalist and songwriter of the Hold Steady, has been taking voice lessons to prepare for
this album. This should hopefully give some usually hesitant listeners, who can't immediately accept his loose, unorthodox
vocals, more incentive to listen to one of the best bands in the US right now. There is also discussion that the band has
been experimenting with some new sounds/instrumentation. While I don't expect this album to challenge their previous two,
fantastic releases for the best HS album spot, I do expect that it should be a solid summer release and one to look forward
to.
