Those few who aren't familiar with Bob Dylan's work and are searching for a nice introduction need not look any farther. Highway 61 Revisited is the pinnacle of Dylan's expansive musical career, and that's saying a lot. Dylan is known by many as the greatest lyricist the world as ever come across, and this album confirms that statement with ease. The outstanding finale "Desolation Row" probably shows this best, with 11+ minutes of pure lyrical gold. In addition, the music behind the lyrics is every bit as remarkable. It doesn't hurt either that possibly the greatest rock song of all time is on the album ("Like A Rolling Stone"). Every single track demonstrates both poetic perfection and musical greatness. This is truly a masterpiece through and through.
