I managed to stumble across Nada Surf through a fantastic website called Pandora.com. It's basically a personalized online
radio station, which finds songs from bands that are similar to bands that you type in that you like to listen to. Pandora
definitely gets some bonus points in my book for this find. Nada Surf started off in the late-90s alt-rock scene with their
hit single "Popular", but soon after fell off the radar. That is until 2002, when they released their career saving
album Let Go. While not an absolutely perfect listen, Let Go is jam-packed with great indie/alt-rock pop songs. Drawing from
many great influences (including Weezer, Pavement, and Nirvana), Nada Surf evolved from a mediocre rock group to a band that
was right back in the thick of the music scene. All in all, despite being somewhat frontloaded in quality, Let Go is still
a very satisfying album to listen through.

Key Tracks:
Blizzard of '77
Happy Kid
Paper Boats
Final Verdict: 7.8
